Icon Guide Project
As part of our brand guide, I had the opportunity to team up with the talented marketing designers at Overstock to define our iconography usage. Icons play a crucial role in user interface usability, as they represent product function, benefits and convey the brand’s look and feel. My aim was to maintain the proven patterns that make recognition and usage easy for our customers while also incorporating fresh designs that embody the brand.

The ultimate goal was to create a cohesive end product that any designer could use to create a new icon or revamp an outdated icon. The guides are flexible enough for design exploration yet add enough definition to achieve a consistent look and feel across our site and app experiences. Doing so ensures that our customers can easily recognize and use our icons, resulting in a better overall user experience that’s both engaging and intuitive.
